Rules – Wildlife Prairie Park, IL

  1. State laws require that each person have a Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD) onboard that is properly sized and fitted.  Children under 13 and non-swimmers  must wear a PFD at all times.  Click on this link for information on how to properly select and fit a lifejacket.   If there is not a properly sized PFD or if a PFD is in need of repair,  stop using the equipment, return it and notify Paddle EZ.   2. Carefully inspect the equipment prior to using to ensure there are no punctures, holes or damage that might cause the equipment to take on water.  Also check to ensure kayaks do not have water in their hull.  YOU AGREE, prior to operating the equipment, to stop using the equipment and notify Paddle EZ if there are any issues with the equipment.  If you later determine the equipment is not operating properly,  immediately stop using the equipment, return it and notify Paddle EZ
  3. Park admission fee is required to get in the park. General admission to Wildlife Prairie Park is not included in the rental fee of the boats, but can be purchased in advance online or in person at the Ticket Gate upon entry.   4. Camping and lodging available.
  5. Rentals will vary on hours.  Most days starting at 0600 hours.  ***Please note that gates to the park don’t open till 0900 hours.  The earlier times will be exclusive to overnight guests. You don’t want to miss the amazing lodging and campsites!!
  6. When paddling on paddleboards, please remember there are underwater trees/rocks which are natural to the park and cannot be controlled.
  7.  Always important to wear your life jacket and boat with a friend.
  8. Ground at the rental site is uneven due to rocks under the carpet and mud outside of grassed area. Please use caution.
